Hook and Band Hinges are principally used on field gates, and garage and barn doors. Each hinge is supplied with a hook for the door frame or gate post, and fixings. The hinges are normally used in pairs and each hinge is made from galvanised steel. "Galvanised" refers to the process of applying a coating of zinc oxide to the steel which protects it from corrosion.
